Services offered by Akron Children's Pediatric Cardiology
Akron Children's Hospital uses the latest, most advanced technologies to diagnose and treat all types of pediatric heart disease – from the mild to the extremely complex.

Our goal is to give your child the best possible chance for a healthy future through the early diagnosis and repair of pediatric heart defects. We even offer a fetal cardiology program to identify congenital heart defects in unborn babies, and continue to provide ongoing care for adults born with a heart problem.

Through our collaboration with Cleveland Clinic, we've developed a team of specialists in clinical cardiology, imaging, interventional cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery to provide the best cardiac care for children and adults with congenital heart disease.

Some children are at risk for developing heart disease due to obesity or family history. Through our preventive cardiology program, we evaluate kids with high cholesterol and other risk factors, and give them a plan to keep their hearts healthy now and into their adult lives.
We offer the full scope of cardiology services, including:
  • Non-invasive cardiac imaging
  • Electrophysiology
  • Fetal heart program
  • Adult congenital heart program
